Blankets

I've had a request to post this from my mom who is coveting my gift! Seriously, Lael, make the woman a Piggy Cow blanket! lol.
So, for Christmas in our Wutkee family, the adults rotate families to get a $25.00 gift for and this year we recieved from Vince and Lael's family. (i think they spent over $25 ;) so now I don't feel bad for Evan spending over $5.00 for their son Lincoln). In my family, we have many "Wutkeeisms" you might call them. This blanket resembles one of them, "Piggy Cow". "Piggy Cow", if I recall correctly (family, feel free to elaborate in comments), is a term we used to describe one of our siblings having a tantrum or fit, ie: "Don't have a 'Piggy Cow' Bennett!" Annnnnyway, Lael makes quilts for special occations and we were blessed with a "Piggy Cow" blanket with multiple frames of cows and pigs in all their varieties. It was hard to pick my favorite ones but they are displayed below. The back is in orange I am assuming in honor of the great University of Tennessee (probably Vince's only real contribution to the 'crafting' of the gift. lol), or at least, we like to think so. So, even though your thank you card is in the mail... THANK YOU for our gifts!
(lael, if you are reading this, if you'll notice, the quilt you made for our wedding gift almost 12 years ago is benieth our new quilt and I use it as extra insulation in our recent cold snaps.)

My favorite Cow and Pig sections...

Evan's custom baby blanket gift in yellow, blue, red and duck. lol. Do you think he likes it? he he.

family blanketness.
I just love homemade gifts, given and recieved. We will enjoy these for many years to come and might even take our P.C. one on California vacations to make everyone feel jealous. Thank you for sending us a little piece of home so we can feel like everyone remembers who we are all the way out here in Tennessee. ;) xoxo
