One more thing... wink*

Ok, so.. I don't mean to beat a dead horse BUUUUUUTtt... I'm gonna whip him a little bit. Today I found something new in the Quilted Northern Toilet Paper conspiracy! So, it started out that we noticed they made the rolls shorter. We chewed on that (not the t.p., that would be gross, but yes the idea) for a while until recently when we just saw the quilting was... not so. So today, I was putting the t.p. away when I noticed something NEW! I literally dropped my jaw in disbelief that there was ANOTHER thing going on with this stuff.
They have now made the actual cardboard roll BIGGER. Yes so now they have shortened the roll, stopped quilting it and made the center bigger (hoping you won't notice that they are yet again, taking away some of your t.p.?). Do you think they have dropped the price... NO and as many of my hardcore coupon friends have mentioned, there aren't that many coupons for it out there either. So, I implore you to check out the evidence and tell me what you think. :)
The culprit.
(don't be fooled by the seemingly 'quilted' exterior, it's all an illusion)

Short Stature.
Here we see the 'short changeness' created by said company. If you will notice at the center of the roll, I have placed the center cardboard of the OLD roll in the center of the NEW roll. This is to show the length shortening but in turn also shows the scandalous new offense, the fact that the old roll, fits inside the new one is a hint. (we had it still from "our cat eats t.p." roll.)

Ok, look at the new discovered space ridiculousness!
(giggling about this subject)

This didn't show the example right but here is the original length. It was to show the difference ON the actual roll, IF we were a normal family that could actually put their t.p. on the roll... But we aren't normal. (and neither is our CAT!)

The new roll, shortages and all. Those of you who's house I have graced, have possibly experienced the triangle fold I leave there. I have now added a special 'rose' to the triangle to 'class it up'. Come on people, you know you want me over now :).
the END. he he he.

T.P. Debacle: The story of Poop.

Ok so it's not about 'poop' at all (sorry for the 'sticky' subject, he he he) but I liked the title I came up with so there.
Our family uses 'Quilted Northern' brand t.p. and always have. A while ago we noticed they started having shorter rolls, no biggie but weird. We did however have a conversation that's it's likely less t.p. and a bonus for them to sneak in the 'new size'. It's not like they announced their new campaign to shorted rolls like they would if the enlarged their rolls. Anyway, this week I noticed the t.p. is no longer 'quilted'. You've seen the commercials right? They have tiny little ladies (bugs I think cause there are antennae) hand quilting the squares? So... What's a girl to do but write a silly letter to the company for some sympathy for my delicate parts? Who knows, I could get some free t.p. out of it maybe. So off I went, mentioning what I did to you & adding we've used it for 13 years cause we like it so much and 'did you fire the little quilting ladies?' Giggling to myself for that addition, I sent it along with my first born's blood sample. That was a few days ago. Today they write back that yes they did shorted their rolls but their 'core' and 'loyal' customers have given them different feedback & are so pleased that they (are being manipulated) have made changes to the product & that in these economic times.... Yadda yadda yadda. Well, you know I couldn't resist a rebuttal so I told them that it is a shame that my 13 years of loyalty doesn't allow my comments to compare to the 'loyal' and 'core' that they spoke of cause I really thought of myself as both of those things. Anyway I closed with my 'opinion' that I don't believe for a moment that 'because of the economy' people are 1) pooping or peeing less = using less t.p. 2) it made it necessary for them to shorten their roll 3) stop quilting something called 'quilted' northern 4) changing brands at a drastic rate (feel free to tell me you've switched to cheaper t.p. & I will admit defeat). People like their t.p.! You could never get a Charmin user to use something else, it's their staple, like bread, butter, eggs, Charmin. :) Anyway, I enjoyed my 'talk' with the customer service elves at Q.N. And so it looks like I'll be shopping for a new brand cause mama ain't' usin' no cardboard on her personals folks. Have any suggestions and I don't like Charmin for some reason so don't waste you breath (Linda...don't do it! :) he he he). The End (for now)

My secret...

Fresh Effects Invisible Solid in Cucumber Aloe! I am not kidding! I have wanted to blog about this a long time ago but just keep talking about boring ol' evan! ;) he he he. Anyway. If anyone reading this has deodorant challenges or excessive sweating (yes I just admitted "I" sweat!) you will appreciate this post....

I don't know why but in the past 10 years, I have had a horrible time sweating! To the point where I would NEVER raise my arms for the possibility of a sweat mark or STAIN! (EWE!!) Let me say as a hairstylist who blow dry's hair all day long, this is NOT ideal. So over the years, I have tried may different Antiperspirants INCLUDING a prescription deodorant (which worked but it stung to apply and I didn't feel like it was healthy). Anyway, about a year ago? or maybe even before Evan was born, I was deodorant hopping, many times after only using it 3 times and knowing it wasn't working, when I came across this:

I love it cause It smells good, does not get on my clothes, it is the best working over the counter Antiperspirant I've ever used AND it still works for me! With that said, it may stop working next week because of Murphy's law, but I will enjoy it till then. I hope this post put a smile on your face. I plan to try to post more 'consumer report' items in the future, stay tuned. :)
