And, the winner is...

This is what I chose for Evan's Blessing outfit and if appropriate, for him to wear to the temple. I still don't know if there are guidelines on that for him so if someone knows, please enlighten me if you know. For the blessing I actually bought a blue/white gingham long sleeved shirt to go under this jumper as opposed to the white short sleeved shirt pictured. I actually wanted the 'gown' below so I could use it on all our children, boy or girl... Michael said no, boo to him! He looks like a baby on little house on the prairie. :)

P.S. (4.5.09) the outfits featured are at "Whipper Snappers", a local child clothing and 'stuff' store with many homemade things, all high quality. Anyway, it's going out of business! Everything is 50% off right now so, go get your cute on! It is located on S. Church Street near Broad (yes their is current bridge construction on Broad so prepare for delays or take I-24. It closes on May 1st I think.

california visit dates. drum roll please......

Thank you for your prayers, they have been answered and Southwest prices to L.A. went back down to $99.00 (each way)! We will be visiting my family and our friends in California
Tuesday May 19th - Tuesday May 26th
over the Memorial Day weekend!!! We are SO excited!!! EEEeeeeeK! We cannot wait for Evan to meet his 17 aunts and uncles and 18 cousins, grandpa Allan, great grandma Nona, Winston, Barbara and Tanya and all our friends. We will take TONS of pictures and make TONS of memories. It will not be enough time to visit with so many but hopefully the long weekend will help a little. We are praying and trying to be optimistic that Evan can be sealed to us while we are there but we won't know till right before we leave I'm sure but we will enjoy our visit regardless. We want to try to plan an open house at my parents house in the Santa Rosa Valley, that week. We will see. It may end up just being too much but we want to see everyone so bad!

New Year Resolutions?

I'm totally copying my friend Lindsey. As I differ in her opinion on resolutions, (I have some floating around in my brain where they will probably remain 'floating'), I WILL copy her idea for her family highlights for the year! Cool idea Lindsey, you are so creative! (and fun!)

Stuteville Family Highlights of 2008

Family: (We don't remember much before October 14th) I quit working at Tangerine in June and we opened "Lila's Chop Shop". Evan was born. Had visits from "5" California relatives (one of them came twice! -thanks mom- it's a record.). Spent Thanksgiving in Gulf Shores for Evans first Vacation with Michael's family.

Michael
*became a daddy
*got a 3rd job (CFO of Lila's Chop Shop)
*new hair style (thank GOODNESS!!!)

Lila
*became a mommy
*opened my own business (Lila's Chop Shop)
*started blogging! ;)

Evan
*born in October (can't wait for Halloween Birthdays, we'll invite Lindsey cause we know she loves that)
*burps really well
*best friends: Nochi Sleeper, Alligator outfit, Pampers, Vibrating Elephants & green Baby Einstein block, Rattles, Mirrors, Bumper Bouncer, http://www.crazy8.com/ and Mom & Dad.

This year, we have a lot to look forward to. We are VERY excited to have Evan sealed to us in the Los Angeles Temple as soon as his Adoption is final when he is 6months old (April/May). Much of my family and all our friends there, will get to meet him for the first time and I'm soooooooo excited about that (only wish it was sooner). If we are lucky, we'll get to go back in the fall for a second visit. My business is continuing to succeed of which I am grateful. In the spring, we are praying for Real Estate to pick up for Michael cause he LOVES to be busy! I'm sure somewhere in there, we'll have our traditional vacation with Michael's side of our family so, we'll see! We number one, plan to spend time with Evan, watching him grow, mature and be happy! There is no doubt that he centers our universe. We plan to learn how to be even better parents (if it's possible ;) he he), read more books, watch others examples etc. We also have some really great people who have been begging to watch Evan for FREE!! Whoo Hoo! Date night here we come! So... we hope you are all doing well and hangin' in. We think of you often and look forward to your family reports. ;) xoxo

And they were married...

We were married on a beautiful "first day of Summer" day, for Time and All Eternity, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Saturday, June 21, 1997.

Our invitations were ivory with embossed ivy border and black ink. Our engagement pictures were taken by Patrick Boles at Fall Creek Falls, Tennessee. The wedding colors were dark green and burgundy and the reception was at my parents house in Santa Rosa Valley, California.

Susie St. John took our pictures and we will never forget her for doing such a great job.
These are my favorite of our Wedding party and of US on the Temple grounds.
