I am not ashamed!

It is true! I love FRESHLY air popped, pop corn with about 4 tablespoons of melted real (salted) butter sprinkled with Spike "Vegit Seasoning" (at health food stores. for vegetables/'corn' or even chicken etc) then, washed down with a tall glass of Ovaltine (rich chocolate pictured or original). I could probably eat it every night for dinner and many times have (ask amber or my hubby, the have witnessed and/or participated in the insanity)

Now, for some more random facts about me: (thanks facebook for the first 25...)

15. had my first kiss on my 18th birthday, second kiss when i was 20 (all down hill from there).

16. my 2 oldest brothers used to tease me that i had really nice legs. i was flattered but it creeped me out.

17. thought i was ugly and disgusting till i was around 20, then realized i was normal.

18. i always thought I'd be an artist or an actress.

19. wish i liked school and was better at it.

20. would like to write one or more children's books one day, including at least one on adoption but would prefer a series of board books about it.

22. my favorite chores growing up were dusting, mopping, washing windows and especially cleaning toilets.

23. i could sit outside all day in nice weather and stare up at the sky and daydream, watch birds & planes fly by, see shapes in the clouds and 'bubbles' floating in the atmosphere. i used to do that on our family's trampoline, by myself.

By Popular Demand! Here's the story...

Last week our babysitter/friend Liz had to leave Evan on the play mat while she was feeding him his bottle so she could run to the bathroom to fix her contact lens. Naturally, Evan doesn't like interruption in his feeding so he was screaming but she had to just let him cry till she fixed her contact. ANYWAY... suddenly it was quiet in the other room where she left crying Evan and her son "H" who's almost 2. When she ran to the room to see why it was quiet, the picture below is what she saw......

"H" who is always helpful and loving, was feeding Evan! He has watched and tried to help his mommy so many times that he took the initiative and hooked a baby up. ;) I'm wondering, should we starting paying "H" too, he does 'help' a lot... We'll think about it. lol. It is sooo cute and we love "H" so much.
p.s. on a side funny note to the picture: Liz tries to create a safe boundary for Evan from the bustling 2year old by asking him to stay off the mat and that is why he is sitting completely off the mat and blanket that is used for Evan. lol! That may be equally funny to me. :D

4 Months!

Taken on our front porch after church today. I liked the idea that our house numbers could be next to him to remember the house he lived in at this time. I put these numbers up myself, they're pretty amazing. ;)
Waiting for daddy to get home (took seperate cars to church), we took a buddy shot.
sooo little on our front porch chair! sooo cute on our front porch chair. ;)

Evan turned 4 months officially on Saturday (Valentine's), February 14th.
Here is our traditional monthly shot with his stuffed alligator.
Things Evan does since our last official report:
fingers in mouth (sometimes both hands at the same time), chewing and sucking (teething)
DEFINATELY in 3-6 month clothes and will soon be too big for that I think
He drank 8 oz today! And was very satisfied.
Pretty sure he will start on cereal soon cause he seems to want more.
Size 2 diapers from today on.
Smiles and laughs easily.
Bonefied... "Momma's boy" (meaning: likes everyone but me the most)
LOVES HIS BOUNCER and Exerciser donated by the Wall's
Still loves his F.P. inch worm book from Grandma Jennie and Papa George.
LOVES running water. Preferrably watching it run.
Loves our Piggy Cow blanket from the Vincent Wutkee Family
Sleeps usually from 930pm or 1030pm - 730am or 8am (then goes back down for a 2 1/2hr 'nap')
Loves Jenalyn's Baby Bjorn (wish we had our own, we don't want to give it back!)
Doesn't like to be held (or treated) like a baby (cradled). He's got stuff to see and do!
Prefers standing in your lap or on your hand to being held.
Always moving unless he's sleeping.
Only really takes a pacifier when we put him to sleep but doesn't care to keep it in his mouth.
Is very cute in overalls and jeans :)
Loves being read too. Current favorite: Dr. Seuss "Hand, Hand, Finger, Thumb" board book.
Likes T.V. (sorry but it's true. our bad)
Just started touching the back of his head with an open palm when he's tired. (i'll photograph it soon)
etc...

let's go predators!

Our cute family.

Our friend Holly who is a Predators Dancer. She is beautiful AND talented! :)

With Uncle Matt and Aunt Nanci at the Predators Game (we WON!). I dressed Evan in his miraculously still fitting Alligator/Lizard outfit that is a personal favorite if you didn't know. ;) This was the first time Evan had a hard time with the noise. As he gets older he can't sleep through 'anything' anymore so... I guess so for his next 2 games, he will likely have headphones on like they have at a shooting range. His bib say's "Little Heartbreaker".

Serif and Sharing...

This is mine and Evan's friend Serif who is 16 days younger than him. I went through my client Jeff's, wife Michelle's whole pregnancy with him only to jump in the end with my own baby Evan being born at the end of their wait! Also, when we got back from Atlanta with Evan, (he was only a week or two old when) I told Jeff I'd like him to come in even though the shop was closed, to get a haircut since I knew he'd need to look good for when Michelle went into labor. :) lol I'm so thoughtful... Anyway, I made a very inexperienced future dad hold Evan when he and Michelle came in! I know he secretly wanted to and I had to practically throw him into trying to hold a baby. :) I think that helped Jeff and Michelle get even MORE excited for their baby to come faster! :) He was born within the week of that appointment. he he.

The dorky and lovesick parents in the mirror image.
Me, Jeff and Michelle (yes she looks even better than before baby Serif and he's just 3 months! amazing!)

Sharing: Since Serif had not yet experienced a bouncy seat, it was only fair that Evan would invite him to try his out! Pretty sure Serif will have one soon... there was a glimmer in his eye, I tell you. :) He is so cute in it! So glad the boys got to have a playdate during our hair appointment. Can't wait to see how the boys look together the next time we see you! :)

aaaaaand, here we go with monday morning. the photography never stops! it's maddness!

i don't know if i mentioned... but mike and i fall more in love with evan every day. we are amazed that his 3rd month has gone by soo fast! valentines day he will have been born, 4 months ago and that is just insane to me. I'm looking forward to his 4 month post so stay tuned. we will be celebrating it by going to a predators game. he will be a hit there as usual. ;)

A Very Greenway Birthday (part ll)

H and Liz in the best shot ever. ;) This sums up how great the day was.

Great weather, wonderful friends, fun with the kids and now older AND wiser. :)

Beth's oldest "S" 'monkeying around'.

Beth's #2 "L". Liz & H, sooo cute.

Evan & I. "E", Beth's #3.

H. L keeping bored Smokey company, thank you!

H on his favorite slide. H and Evan about to be on the bridge. H is always so helpful!

E having fun. Family sliding (ok, i posed this but couldn't resist!)

H is going to climb this, he's sooo big! Evan is so strong! lol

My friend Beth, her daughter "A" (just over one month older than Evan), Liz (with Evan) & Kathy.

We're on the playground that we walked to, watching the kiddos play. Beth brought her 4 & Liz brought "H".

Kathy enjoying Evan. Me enjoying Evan.

Did I mention Smokey got to come too!? Yes, I was brave, thankfully Kathy came without kids (not that we wouldn't have LOVED her sweet teenaged boys to come!) and could help me with dog and baby at various times. Thank you Kathy! Next, a sweet picture of Liz and H.
