THE TROUBLE!

my baby son has been getting closer and closer to reaching out of his crib and since he keeps pulling himself on his toy basket, we decided it was only a matter of time to see this: (staged, i admit. he he)

RESULT

So we lowered the crib so he can stand as much as he wants or sit up etc. I feel much better about him in a lowered crib. Also, have I mentioned our child is the movingest kid!? He's been like that from birth but I think we assumed he wouldn't get MORE 'moving'. lol. Well lately we have diagnosed him with 'Restless body syndrome' or "RBS" because it's a lost cause! The kid does NOT sit still. We've been swaddling him again at night cause he moves so much and won't settle down. It is hilarious. He literally will climb up you if you're holding him and he's facing you. One thing is for sure, he doesn't stop moving!!! Lol. ;0)

I'm SO big!

another video of evan fooling around while we are trying to work on the crib. ;) did i also mention how fast he gets around? don't worry, the matress weighs like nothing, made of foam. but still it's totally cute how he 'kisses' it and bench presses it. :) he he he.

one more thing! EVAN CLIMED A STAIR! we were at uncle matt's and aunt nanci's when evan scooted right over to their stairs that go up and started to climb! matt recorded it (my camera was in the car) and it was amazing! i couldn't believe how fixated he was on doing it. he's been changing so much, i can hardly keep up! any day now, he will up on his knees and going faster than ever from point to point. ;)

:( It's a sad day for me when I have to retire Evan's first pair of shoes that he really wore. These were from our friends, the Smith's. We got great use of you denim shoes... we'll never forget you! You made Evan look cooler and protected his little feet from hair slivers at my shop when he would be in his bouncer. You helped him be more bouncy and completed many awesome outfits. We will lovingly place you in the storage bin for future cool outfits on other kiddos. We can't wait to see you again. Until then, we bid you a fond farewell... ;) xoxo

8 MONTHS OLD!

We sure are enjoying our "8" month old! He is so good natured, always happy and smiling or laughing. He is very preoccupied right now with his new hobby: trying to crawl. He gets up on his knees and hands to rock then scoot forward. I see that we may have to get knee patches for when he wears them out :). Like every parent, we can't believe he is 8 months old! I made the mistake of looking at our pictures from his birth day to see how tiny he was. ;) It was very cute. Right now, I'm day dreaming about his 1st birthday cause I realize it's just around the corner! yikes! In October, we will be resubmitting our names for adoption in hopes we will be chosen within a year but will take what we get and be so grateful. Evan has enriched our lives and given us the purpose we were seeking. We look forward to giving him siblings if we can. He will be a great brother and friend. Next Sunday is our 12th wedding anniversary (and Father's Day!) so we plan to take Evan away for the weekend, somewhere close but 'away', still don't know where exactly. If we can get hold of Courtney, part of the trip will include Atlanta to see her. I hope we can, we miss her very much. Anyway, enjoy our pictures and joy. Thank you for your love.

My Likes:

My glow worm!!!, scooting/pulling/'crawling'/rocking forward on my hands and knees, screaming, "talking" (no words yet), bouncing, playing on my mat, grinding my teeth! (rrrrrr), biting (i have bruises), getting big, eating gerber fruit/vegi's and puffs, when mom dresses me up, when dad takes me everywhere, when people want to hold me and let me bounce on their laps, laughing, chewing on my fingers, when people make faces at me to make me laugh, flying in on airplanes to see my California family, grass, watching Smokey, Oliver and Samantha, my new teeth - MAN they are cool! (there are currently 5. 2 up, 3 down) i like to smile at imaginary people/things, to sleep from 8p - 830a. baths/bath toys, my 'pool', sun, swinging.

My Dislikes:

Being made to go to sleep even though I'm exhaused! when mom and dad forget to take me out of the bouncer (it happens), when smokey won't let me pull his fur, when oliver doesnt' like me to poke him in the eye, when mom doesnt' let me pull the table cloth off the kitchen table.

gifts. crawling? feeding. bouncing! baths. pool! new friends & chompers...

Evan will be 8 months in ONE week from today! Crazy!! Anyway, I don't mean to take away from that post in a week but here are some cool going's on in the Stuteville household... I didn't take pictures for this post but E.R.S. (Evan R. Stuteville) is growin' some chompers! He has 2 tops and 3 bottoms and I assume at least another bottom in the near future. He has been so good with teething. The only sign it's happening is lots of drool and little white things poping through his gums. lol. ;) Also, he's on the verge of crawling as documented in pictures and videos. It's so great to watch. I was never annoyed by people talking about and being excited about their kids milestones but I just never 'got it'. Let me say now... I GET IT! I LOVE IT and 'want some more of it!' lol. ;) bring it on kid, thanks for the laughs. grin.

Evan 'crawling' on our new 'rug'. lol. i've had these foam pieces for years and am glad they have replaced the shag rug/pet fur magnet with something colorful and fun. i would have used it before evan but my friends would have made fun of me. LOL!

Update on bouncing since many of you have asked if evan bounces or still bounces. the answer is YES! at LEAST for 30 minutes a day and i'll have to put a comparison from when he started 'bouncing' at 2 months! soooo cute! ;) but maybe the comparison later. actually, it may already be in an older post from when he was 2 months old in january. ;)
