FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!

To read about our fourth of July weekend, go to the end of the post, otherwise.....
Enjoy our favorite images from our trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium, to start:

We're turtle lovers, what can we say?

This fish kept posing for Michael.

Look at this fishes mouth! I'm sure someone knows what this fish is but I don't. It's very unique.

My husband, the Butterfly Whisperer. lol (notice there is a butterfly in each hand)

This is my very favorite facial expression that my baby makes! It is so hilarious that he scrunches his nose up like this when he's 'done' with something. He was reeeeally hot and tired. (note the hand on ear "I'm tired" look)

Our Patriot (yes he's wearing a necklace, he's secure)

The Oasis Pool.

Evan's TN cousins, Lauren and Brooke

Uncle Matt, rescued me! Thank you!

Doesn't Lauren look TUFF with her tattoo? ;)

Evan's turn to kick the ball!

Mom showing her muscles and tough tattoo! (so there's rhinstones on it, it's still bad arse!). Look at the 'fear' and intimidation it causes in young children. ;) LOL. look at that FACE!!! eek!!!

I kinda think it's hilarious that he's sitting still in this picture or even on his back without being held down. It just doesn't happen anymore. ;)

My little baby son is NOT thrilled with grass, yet I find myself constantly torturing my cutie for photo ops! I WANT to say I'm sorry but... It's just too funny! LOL. he he he. He's doing one armed push ups! jealous.

"Evan's Fireworks" he loved it!

''Dad Da video''

Friday, July 3rd, we had Michael's brother Matt, wife Nanci and girls Brooke and Lauren over early so we could go to the Chattanooga Aquarium. We started 'early' in the morning and drove the 2ish hours south. The pictures and videos above will show our great day Friday in the Aquarium, stingray area and the Butterfly encounter (AWESOME, my personal favorite, even though i may or may not have severely damaged a butterfly that was on my leg and i didn't know it! ;( i felt really bad). We then came home in the late afternoon, exhausted and hung out at the house before our 'sleep over party' began! ;) lol We enjoyed having them overnight and over at all. In the morning the men folk (minus Evan) went to shoot guns with some friends of ours and Uncle Matt got to finally shoot his guns and Michael's as he lives in the 'city' and doesn't' have an occasion to shoot big guns out there. ;) There are no documented pictures of this activity unless the Lifferth's have some but you can all imagine what shooting a big gun at targets looks like. he he he. While they were gone, the women folk (plus Evan)... cleaned the house and prepared the meal... needle scratching a record.... j/k! yeah right!? as if!... The girls sunned themselves by the Oasis pool in our back yard and slip n' slided ( i have the bruises to prove i did it at least once, more than chicken Nanci can say. lol) till the boys came home. I got a little tan and had a great time with my girls. oh yeah, in preparation for swimming time, Evan was patiently waiting in his 'car' and said 'DAD DA'!!! It was awesome, cousin Lauren just went up to him and asked him to say it and he did! I then began recording our efforts to get him to say it again without saying "A-DA" and he did at the end of the video, he says it while I'm annoyingly talking!!! ... ok, back to the day... We ate yummy burgers and potato salad made by Michael then blew off some steam waiting for dark by 'popping champagne bottles', cones and throwing pop its, then playing kick ball. This may be our personal favorite memory; I kicked the ball in the tree (cause i don't know my own superhuman strength) and in the act of getting it out, consequently got an umbrella, a dust mop and an outdoor seat cushion stuck in the tree till multiple throws of the other seat cushions worked. ;) This was just in time for the rain then down pour and when that was done and Evan was asleep to miss all the blowing stuff up, we ... blew stuff up! ;-). We had a wonderful weekend with our kin. Grandma Jennie and Papa George were hobnobbing in Canada with the Prime Minister and his family so they couldn't make it (I'm not kidding) but next year I'm sure Jennie will be the one getting the kick ball stuck in the tree. ;) lol. We missed you and will see you soon.

Anyway, that's all folks. We hope you enjoy our pictures and video's. ;)

cuteness, teeth, stairs

below is a teething biscuit. surprised no one volunteered the CRAZY mess these make! wow. the rest of the pics of the 'cuteness' i promised. ;)

stuffed bear from great grandma nona in california. she was born in 1915, you do the math. ;) lol

The Cuteness.

TEETH, now, 3 confirmed (4th nubbing through the gums) on top, 4 on the bottom but I see more that will be trying to come through on top and bottom.

We were visiting Uncle Matt and Aunt Nanci's house in Nashville when Evan decided he was going to crawl up the stairs! He went up a whole step and I didnt' have my camera as we only went into their house for a moment. Uncle Matt recorded what he could but that wasn't enough so I had to try to recreate it. ;) he he he.

blueberry pickin'

we went to a blue berry patch in south murfreesboro with friends today & I helped mom pick all these blueberries! mmm muffins here we come! ;) (evan got stung by a bug & is fine & I may have poison ivy but it's all good. ;) lol

MY CRIB

THE TROUBLE!
my baby son has been getting closer and closer to reaching out of his crib and since he keeps pulling himself on his toy basket, we decided it was only a matter of time to see this: (staged, i admit. he he)

foolin' around with mom
(psst... i have 6 teeth now! four on the bottom, two on top... so far)

"Helping" Daddy secure the crib (see video at end of this post)

RESULT
So we lowered the crib so he can stand as much as he wants or sit up etc. I feel much better about him in a lowered crib. Also, have I mentioned our child is the movingest kid!? He's been like that from birth but I think we assumed he wouldn't get MORE 'moving'. lol. Well lately we have diagnosed him with 'Restless body syndrome' or "RBS" because it's a lost cause! The kid does NOT sit still. We've been swaddling him again at night cause he moves so much and won't settle down. It is hilarious. He literally will climb up you if you're holding him and he's facing you. One thing is for sure, he doesn't stop moving!!! Lol. ;0)

I'm SO big!

making good use of the 'teething rail' sooo glad we bought these (cheap!). thank you ikea! we love you!!!

another video of evan fooling around while we are trying to work on the crib. ;) did i also mention how fast he gets around? don't worry, the matress weighs like nothing, made of foam. but still it's totally cute how he 'kisses' it and bench presses it. :) he he he.

one more thing! EVAN CLIMED A STAIR! we were at uncle matt's and aunt nanci's when evan scooted right over to their stairs that go up and started to climb! matt recorded it (my camera was in the car) and it was amazing! i couldn't believe how fixated he was on doing it. he's been changing so much, i can hardly keep up! any day now, he will up on his knees and going faster than ever from point to point. ;)
